How We Calculate This
Each wax type has an optimal pouring temperature range. The calculator adjusts for container material:
- Metal tins cool wax faster, so pour slightly cooler to avoid sinkholes
- Ceramic retains heat, so pour slightly hotter for adhesion
- Concrete absorbs heat quickly, so pour hotter still
- Pre-heated containers reduce the pour temperature by 3\u00B0C
