Wax Weight Calculator — How Much Wax Per Candle

Calculate how much wax you need to fill your candle containers based on volume and wax type.

How We Calculate This

The calculator uses the simple formula: wax weight (g) = container volume (ml) x wax density (g/ml)

Each wax type has a different density: soy 0.86, paraffin 0.90, coconut 0.82, beeswax 0.96, rapeseed 0.84, palm 0.88 g/ml.

The 10% extra covers shrinkage during cooling and the top-up pour that soy wax often requires.
