The calculator adds four cost components: materials, labour, packaging and overheads.
Materials and overheads are divided by your batch size to get the per-item share. Labour is calculated from hours per item multiplied by your hourly rate, then divided by batch size.
The total cost per item is the sum of all four components, giving you a clear picture of what each item truly costs to make.
