How much ribbon do I need for a bow?

A basic bow with two loops and tails typically uses 30-40 cm of ribbon. Larger bows with multiple loops can use 60-100 cm. The calculator adds your chosen tail length plus a knot allowance.

What is the most ribbon-efficient wrapping style?

A single wrap around one direction uses the least ribbon. Cross wrap uses roughly 50% more but gives a more polished look. Diagonal wrap falls in between.

What width of ribbon should I use?

For small gifts (under 15 cm), use 10-15 mm ribbon. For medium gifts, 25 mm works well. For large gifts, 38-50 mm ribbon creates the best proportions.
