A standard princess-length necklace is 450 mm (18 inches). Subtract clasp and jump ring length to get the chain you need to cut.

How long is a bracelet chain?

Average bracelet length is 180-200 mm for women and 210-230 mm for men. Measure the wrist and add 15-25 mm for comfort.

For lightweight chains use 4-5 mm jump rings. For heavier chains use 6-8 mm. The jump ring wire gauge should match or exceed the chain wire gauge.
