How We Calculate This
Wire length for wraps and coils is calculated using the circumference formula: length = pi x (object diameter + wire diameter) x number of wraps.
For frames, the perimeter (circumference for round objects) is used. Bail length includes the loop plus a 20 mm tail for securing.
The optional 15% extra accounts for tail ends, tool grip and trimming waste.
