Bubble Prevention Calculator — Resin Tips

Calculate optimal mixing times and temperatures to minimise resin bubbles.

Different resins have different viscosities and cure temps

Combined volume of resin and hardener

Current temperature of your workspace

Depth of the mould or bezel being poured

How We Calculate This

How the Calculation Works

Mix time: approximately 1 minute per 100 ml, minimum 2 minutes. Slower mixing introduces fewer bubbles while ensuring thorough mixing.

Rest time: larger volumes need longer for bubbles to rise to the surface. Calculated at roughly 1 minute per 50 ml, minimum 3 minutes.

Heat gun time: based on the surface area of the pour (volume / depth), approximately 1 second per 10 cm².
