Why does my resin have bubbles?

Bubbles come from mixing (stirring traps air), cold resin (thicker resin holds more air), porous surfaces (wood and paper release air), and chemical off-gassing. The main prevention is slow mixing, warm resin, and surface treatment.

How do I remove bubbles after pouring?

A quick pass with a heat gun or kitchen torch pops surface bubbles effectively. Hold 15-20 cm away and move quickly - do not linger in one spot. You can also use a toothpick for individual bubbles.

Does warming resin help with bubbles?

Yes. Warmer resin is less viscous and releases trapped air more easily. Place sealed resin bottles in warm water (about 30°C) for 10-15 minutes before mixing. Do not use hot water - it can start the curing process prematurely.

Should I use a pressure pot?

A pressure pot is the most effective bubble elimination method. It compresses bubbles until they are invisible. This is essential for clear casting with embeds. Hobby pressure pots typically run at 40-60 PSI.
