Layer Depth Calculator — Multi-Layer Resin Pours
Plan resin pour layers with timing and volume for multi-layer projects.
How We Calculate This
How the Calculation Works
The total depth is divided by the maximum safe layer depth for the resin type. The volume per layer is calculated from the mould cross-section area times the layer depth.
Max depth per layer: Art epoxy 2 cm | Deep pour 5 cm | Polyester 3 cm
Wait time between layers is the gel time for the resin type, adjusted for temperature (halves for every 10°C above 20°C).
