Cure Time Calculator — Soap Curing Guide
Estimate soap cure time based on recipe composition and environmental conditions.
The dominant oil in your recipe affects cure time
Percentage of water reduced from the standard amount
Humidity in the room where soap will cure
Thicker bars need longer to cure through
How We Calculate This
How the Calculation Works
Base cure times are established for each oil type. Olive and Castile soaps take longest (6-12 weeks). High-saturated-fat recipes (coconut, palm, lard) cure in 4-6 weeks.
Adjustments are made for water discount (less water = faster cure), humidity (high humidity slows drying), and bar thickness (thicker bars need more time).
